OBA Award for Excellence in Civil Litigation-
On October 25th, 2011, the OBA held a gala awarding Harvey Strosberg Q.C. the 2011 Award for Excellence in Civil Litigation. Edward Greenspan Q.C. was keynote speaker. Victory was a proud sponsor of this special occasion.

The Advocates' Society-
On October 12th, Victory Verbatim was proud to host The Advocates Society' panel discussion in conjunction with The Arbitration and Mediation Advocacy Practice Group on: What is different about advocacy in international arbitration? The luncheon was held in Victory's beautiful new offices on the 17th floor of the Ernst & Young Tower. We hope it was an informative experience for all and were proud to host this event.

2011 Spring Luncheon-
2011 saw Victory Verbatim Spring Luncheon's biggest turnout ever, and thanks to your efforts, almost $4,000 was raised for Toronto's SickKids Hospital. Golf Fore Spinal Research-
On July 12, 2011 the Canadian Spinal Research Organization held a golf tournament at Eagles Nest Golf Club to raise funds to support Sunnybrook's Centre for Spinal Trauma and further their clinical, educational and research endeavors in the field of spinal research. Victory was a proud sponsor.

Fanconi Canada 2011-
Fanconi Canada is a registered charity that funds research in Canada into an effective treatment and, ultimately, a cure for Fanconi anemia and serves as a support network for affected Canadian families. On May 15, 2011 a fundraiser was held and Victory was proud to once again sponsor this annual event.

Victory Bymark Patio Party-
On July 21st, 2010, Victory Verbatim held its annual cocktail party at famed chef Mark McEwan's Bymark Bar & Restaurant. Many a local celebrity made an appearance, including hockey players Doug Gilmour and Steve Thomas, Johnny Fay of The Tragically Hip and CityNews sports anchor Kathryn Humphreys. Victory raised almost $4,000 for the SickKids Foundation and would like to thank all attendees for their generosity!

Media Skills: the Lawyer as Spokesperson is the exciting new offering from noted trial advocate Roger Dodd and public relations specialist Claudia N. Oltean. On January 27, 2010, Roger held a Media Skills breakfast at the Toronto Lawyers Association Lawyers Lounge to share practical tips with attendees on every aspect of dealing with the media. Toronto Litigators' Group Dinner-
On November 24th, 2008, Victory Verbatim proudly hosted the second gathering of the TLG at Jacobs and Co. Steak House, with guest speakers Alan Lenczner and Linda Rothstein. The TLG is a forum for young litigators to build camaraderie in an "off the record" atmosphere while hearing from leaders of the profession.

On December 4th, 2008, Victory Verbatim hosted a one of a kind litigation workshop on "How to Conduct Successful Examinations for Discovery", with Berkley Sells of Fasken Martineau. This course has been CLE approved for 2.5 credit hours by the Law Society of Upper Canada. Wine and Cheese was served throughout.

Fanconi Canada 2008 Toronto Fundraiser-
Fanconi Canada held their eighth annual charity dinner on April 27, 2008 and Victory Verbatim was proud to donate a gift basket to raise funds in a silent auction. Fanconi Canada's mission is to find a cure for Fanconi anemia (FA), a rare but deadly disease leading to bone marrow failure, leukaemia and other cancers. Victory Verbatim is proud to support the research that brings hope to families affected by FA.

March 27th, 2008 marked the inaugural dinner for the TJLG; a semi-annual event where young litigators gather to drink, dine and share stories. Victory Verbatim, as exclusive sponsor, is proud to play a part in promoting the development of strong collegial relationships among young litigators.
